The Professor Keith Carey-Smith with the Pevensie children.
Mix a lion, a witch and a wardrobe and you must come up with something out of the ordinary and that is exactly what C S Lewis did when he wrote the story of the adventures of four children from London sent to live in a big country house during the second world war. The children end up staying with a professor eager to believe what they tell him, and so all is set for adventure.
This musical dramatisation by Adrian Mitchell was brought to life by Jim Barr and his team of dedicated assistants. An outstanding set design gave that sleight of hand used by magicians to take you into the world of Narnia. The children (and the audience) were led through the wardrobe by Lucy, a role shared by Madison Scott and Kimberley Fenton. Lucy’s brother Edmund, played by Rhys Evans, created problems for them all with his unpredictable behaviour, but sister Susan played by Jamie Fenton and brother Peter played by Shaun Piercy soon enlisted to help fight the Wicked White Witch. They encountered Mr and Mrs Beaver, Mr Tumnus (faun), many wonderful creatures of Narnia and of course Aslan the great lion.
