Although a regular actor on stage with Cue Theatre, "My Cousin Rachel" was the first time for Barry Brett in the role of Director.

"MY COUSIN RACHEL"
is a mystery romance set on a large estage in Cornwall. It is a period drama with a femme fatale who captivates men of all ages. Described as a superb study of that cancer of the human mind "suspiciousness" it revolves around young Philip Ashley who receives a disturbing letter from his Uncle Ambrose, who has recently married their distant cousin Rachel. Philip immediately heads to Italy to discover Ambrose has died in what might be considered strange circumstances and his new widow has flown the coop. On returning to England, Philip is surprised to discover Rachel but is quickly won over by her charms. As the story unfolds, questions need to be answered, including whether Rachel is responsible for Ambrose's untimely death or for Philip's deteriorating health.
