LEADING LADIES
by KEN LUDWIG - Margi Arthur, Director
Tuesday 23rd March - Saturday 3rd April 2010
Delightfully silly, “Leading Ladies” followed the adventures of Jack and Leo, two down-on-their-luck Shakespearean actors, who hoped to scam their way out of the Moose Lodge circuit by posing as the long-lost nephews of Florence, an elderly and apparently dying heiress. When the heroes learned that Florence's missing relatives were nieces, not nephews, they ransacked their costume trunks and doned women's clothing — but their successful masquerade proved problematic when Leo fell head-over-heels for Florence's winsome niece, Meg.
Didl Jack and Leo inherit millions and spend the rest of their lives in the lap of luxury? Did Meg marry her stuffy, fortune-hunting fiancé or follow her dream of seeing the big, wide world? Slapstick goofiness, scrambled Shakespeare, and good-natured laughs made “Leading Ladies” an irresistible treat!
"Leading Ladies" enthralled with an outstanding cast - Antony Jones (Jack); Andrew Judd (Leo); Nicci Smith (Meg); Morris West (Duncan); Kristin Devine (Audrey); Jeff Sanders (Doc); Justin Lowcay (Butch); and a special appearance by Lea Michaels (aka Peter Meikle) as Florence.
