The play readers became the original members of “The Cue” (still to be born!). Our home became the disused cordial factory on the corner of Rata Street and Cutfield Street, known as ‘The Plumbery’ in honour of the owner. On that shaky second floor, reached up an even shakier set of stairs, over heaped up coal and coke, who could ever forget Patsy Houlihan forever knitting in “Miss Tarzan” or Darcy Jackson and his dire monthly predictions of fire and earthquake with NO INSURANCE!?
